Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is still planned for November 19, 2026, and that marketing for the game — including pre-orders — will kick off this summer.
Grand Theft Auto VI is arguably the most anticipated video game release ever. The road to November has been long: the game was initially slated for 2025, then delayed to May 2026, and in November 2025 was pushed to its final date of November 19, 2026.

When asked about console price increases — both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles have risen beyond their launch prices — Zelnick described the situation as "not great news," but remains confident in GTA 6's ability to sell regardless of console economics.
The pre-order campaign speculation was further fueled last week when Best Buy sent an email to members of its affiliate program, hinting at imminent pre-order availability. Combined with Zelnick's confirmation of summer marketing, the next trailer could drop within weeks.
Earlier this month, Zelnick also revealed that GTA 6's current release date puts it approximately 18 months behind its original internal launch target — shedding light on just how far the project was pushed back before the public ever knew.
