Short answer: no. Here's why Rockstar's marketing calendar, SEC filing, and history all point the same direction.

The short answer is no. Grand Theft Auto VI will not appear at Sony's June 2, 2026 State of Play showcase. Here are the three reasons why, ranked by legal weight.
First: The SEC Filing. Take-Two's 10-K, filed with the SEC on May 22, states that the company "will share more details this summer." Summer officially begins on June 21. A June 2 appearance is 19 days before summer. If GTA 6 news arrives at a June 2 event, the company's SEC filing — a document signed by the CEO and CFO under Sarbanes-Oxley — contains a material misstatement. That does not happen.
Second: Rockstar's History. Rockstar Games has never debuted a GTA trailer at a third-party showcase. Not at E3. Not at Summer Game Fest. Not at The Game Awards. The studio that controls its own announcements more tightly than any developer in the industry is not about to play second fiddle to Marvel's Wolverine at a Sony event.
"Rockstar doesn't share the stage. The company that dropped GTA VI Trailer 1 on its own YouTube channel and broke the 24-hour view record isn't debuting Trailer 3 at someone else's party."
Third: Sony's Silence. Neither Sony nor Rockstar has listed GTA 6 in any State of Play promotional material. The showcase leads with Marvel's Wolverine and features updates from top studios. If GTA 6 were appearing, Sony would lead with it — not Marvel's Wolverine. A logo or "coming November 19" bumper card is possible through Sony's confirmed marketing partnership, but Trailer 3 is not.
The realistic timeline: Trailer 3 drops on Rockstar's own channels between June 21 and July 2026, pre-orders follow, and the summer marketing campaign that Zelnick promised begins on Rockstar's terms, through Rockstar's channels, on Rockstar's schedule.
